In supporting everyone with talent and drive to own what they do, realise their potential and build a brilliant future for themselves at Greencore.

We’re proud to offer you a career with real opportunity.

What we do.

This particular role is at our site based in Old Leake just outside Boston, Lincolnshire and specialises in making chilled Italian ready meals and modern deli products for a dedicated customer. The site employs around 700 people.

About the role.

We manufacture a wide range of high-quality fresh prepared food. And, although our production lines are fast-paced and high-pressured, our cleaning schedule means that the lines will always stop completely for you to clean them.

A typical day of a Hygiene Administrator involves preparing and checking hygiene, housekeeping and amenities paperwork to ensure everything is completed accurately and ready for the next shift. The role also includes updating hygiene records, trackers, training matrices and site information, managing PPE, consumables and lockers, and supporting new starters with their required PPE and lockers.

Throughout the day, you would work closely with the Hygiene Team to address any issues, update procedures, support training and maintain compliance, while also responding to queries and completing general administration.

Hygiene Administrator - Nights duties may include:

  • Manage daily, weekly and periodic hygiene, housekeeping and amenities paperwork.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate, compliant and controlled.

  • Maintain training records and matrices; train operatives as required.

  • Manage PPE and consumable stock, usage and storage.

  • Support the review and update of cleaning procedures.

  • Manage lockers, including allocation, maintenance, cleaning and records.

  • Maintain hygiene logs, trackers and site matrix.

  • Ensure new starters receive PPE and lockers on day one.

  • Provide general administration and filing support.

  • Promote safe working practices and continuous H&S improvements.

It can be complicated and challenging stuff. Especially with audit requirements and customer expectations to exceed as our hygiene team is essential for Greencore to maintain expected standards of our products and hit audit scores in line with customer expectations.

About you.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks.

  • IT literate.

  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.

In return, we’ll offer you the encouragement, support and opportunity to develop your career and take it as far as you can, or as far as you want to go, within our large multinational company.

At Greencore we put our people at the core. We celebrate their differences and help everyone to be themselves at work. Together we make every day taste better.

If this sounds like you, join us and grow with Greencore, and be a part of driving our future success.

Why Greencore

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we’re one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make everyday taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we’re proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

Greencore and its recruitment partners never charge candidates any fees at any stage of the hiring process. Any request for payment relating to a job opportunity should be considered fraudulent.
